Two days to Race Day & the first of the race-ready vehicles have been delivered to the shop. Nearly half of the teams have their vehicles prepped & delivered as of 5:00 PM today!

Photos have been added to the gallery section for each individual team--check them out there.

On a less exciting note, weather for Race Day does not look promising. In the case of inclement weather, the race will be held in the Broughal Middle School gymnasium starting at Noon.

All 32 Teams have completed mold machining and injection molding. The last team completed mold machining on Wednesday 4/27 and the final team molded Friday evening 4/29. The first batch of cars ready for painting were sent to Broughal on Monday 4/25 and the final delivery will be made on Monday 5/2.

The Broughal students have been painting the cars received to date all week and the first delivery of painted vehicles is expected back from Broughal on Monday 5/2! Photos of Race ready vehicles should be available on this website on or around Thursday.

Don't forget...Race Day is this Friday 5/6 at Noon in front of Packard Lab!

The week of March 28 Project Week 1 brought the Broughal studentst to the Mechanical Engineering CAD Lab located in Packard Laboratory. During their visit the Broughal students met with their Lehigh teammates to see the progress that had been made on creating a virtual CAD model based on their vehicle concept.

In addition, a CAD model of a display base part was created by the Lehigh students to demonstrate the modeling capabilities of the SolidWorks CAD software. The base will be 3D printed by the Lehigh students and used to display their teams show car on Race Day (5/6/16).

Finally, the Broughal students headed off to the waterjet lab where they saw a demonstration of a two-piece rocket being cut from plywood by the abrasive waterjet machine.
